Creekside South Perennial

Premium Southern Clover & Chicory Perennial Food Plot Blend

Region: Southern Region
Net Weight: 3 lb
Coverage: Target approximately 1/4 Acre, subject to final manufacturer-approved seeding rate
Primary Season: Spring or Fall Establishment / Multi-Season Management
Primary Purpose: Longer-duration clover and chicory forage for suitable southern sites

Creekside South Perennial is the dedicated perennial-focused blend in the Southern Region lineup. Instead of filling the bag with inexpensive annual cereal grains, the formula concentrates on red clover, Ladino clover, white clover, and chicory—species selected for a longer-term managed forage plot when soil, drainage, fertility, and maintenance are appropriate.

Ingredients

  • Bearcat Red Clover
  • Pinnacle Ladino Clover
  • Stamina White Clover
  • Endure Chicory

Why This Blend Is Different

Creekside South Perennial is intentionally different from the annual hunting blends in the Southern lineup. Its clover-heavy foundation supplies perennial legume forage while Endure Chicory contributes a deep-rooted perennial broadleaf component. The smaller seed size allows the blend to remain concentrated without requiring the bag weights associated with cereal-grain mixtures.

Why Choose It

Choose Creekside South Perennial when you want to establish and actively manage a longer-lived clover/chicory plot rather than completely replanting an annual mixture every season.

Planting Information

Planting Window: Spring or fall according to local climate and establishment conditions
Sunlight: Full sun to suitable partial-sun locations
Preferred Soil: Fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained loam or silt loam
Target pH: Approximately 6.0–6.5
Planting Method: Shallow broadcast or appropriately configured drill

Small clover and chicory seeds should not be planted deeply. Soil testing, weed control, fertility management, and ongoing plot maintenance are important for perennial performance.

Best Uses

Creek-bottom edges with adequate drainage, lower field edges, perennial feeding plots, and southern properties where multi-season forage is desired.

Ridge Haven Positioning: A concentrated perennial system for hunters building forage beyond one season.

“Creekside” does not mean suitable for flooded, saturated, or standing-water sites. Final 1/4-acre coverage must be confirmed against the manufacturer-approved seeding rate before packaging or sale.
